Everyday Holy

Every Day Holy is a new devotional from Melanie Shankle.  This book is my first experience with Melanie’s writings.  It is not quite what one would expect from a devotional; however, it is an interesting read.

Melanie shares about her experiences with God, in more of an out of the box approach than a traditional devotional would.

Hold on as the author will lead you in a fresh way of connecting with your Heavenly Father!

Honeysuckle Dreams

Storm Front

Storm Front, the latest tale in Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series, tells you more about the life of Ty Remington, the man who cannot seem to find his place in this world.  Ty was formerly the Peak Rescue team pilot; however, after a grave mistake on the job, he now fills whatever job needs to be tackled by the team.  When the team learns that Chet, their team leader, is missing following a massive tornado in Minnesota, they immediately jump into action and head toward the scene!

Brette Arnold originally met Ty and several others on the Peak team, when she came to Montana to ski with her friend Ella Blair.  Now, she has moved on from working as a freelance writer to taking photographs of tornadoes, as a part of a storm chasing team.  This latest tornado has touched the life of her team captain, Jonas Marshall, as well.  His younger brother, Creed, is missing!

This is a fast paced tale, as these two teams join together to search for people lost in the storm.  In the midst of it all, Ty and Brette must deal with hurt feelings from their past, when Brette ran away from Ty, after she was informed of her diagnosis of breast cancer!

Hang on to see how God changes the lives of both Ty and Brette, by the end of this tale.  It is interesting to see how God shows up in the lives of so many characters in this story.  You will see several team members from previous books in the Montana Rescue series:  Ben King, Gage Watson, Ian Shaw and Pete Brooks.  You will even get a glimpse of the next book in this series!

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey

The Dishonorable Miss DeLancey is the final tale in Carolyn Miller's Regency Brides: A Legacy of Grace series. You will remember Clara DeLancey from the previous stories in this series.  At the beginning of this tale, you will find Clara walking along the cliffs of England, with no hope, ready to end it all.  When suddenly, a strong hand reaches out, to save her from a certain death!

Captain Benjamin Kemsley, injured during the war helping his fellow soldiers, is back in England; however, he still cannot keep himself from helping those in need. Clara had kept her face hidden, as she walked along the cliff, so the identity of the woman he saved is unknown to him!

Clara and her family have relocated to Brighton, England, in order to deal with the shame that has fallen on their family. In this town that is much smaller than London, Clara soon crosses paths with Benjamin's sisters. Her friendship with this God-honoring family opens up new hope in Clara's world.  It does not take long for Clara and Benjamin to realize that they had met before: on the cliffs!

Watch as Clara's faith and reliance on God is renewed and acted on in a whole new way of living.  As Clara attempts to correct her misguided steps from the past, a set of possible wrong choices are set before her.  By the final pages of this tale, it is interesting to see where God will lead her, as you will once again see Benjamin save Clara's life!

The Weaver's Daughter

The Weaver's Daughter is the third book in Sarah E. Ladd's latest series.  The year is 1812, in Yorkshire, England, and the weavers are in an uproar with the changes coming to their way of life, with the entrance of textile mills.  Kate Dearborne is caught up in the middle of the battle with her father, tried and true to the old ways, and her brother moving on to embrace the new technology, that has entered the land!

Soon Henry Stockton enters the scene, as he is returning from his years away at war.  Henry has a lot to catch up on, with the wool business his grandfather has been working hard to maintain.  There are things with which Henry disagrees, like children working long hours in the depths of the mill.  Before Henry can help make any changes, his grandfather is suddenly murdered!

As Henry attempts to solve his grandfather's murder, he seems to keep crossing paths with Kate Dearborne.  Even though Kate and Henry are on opposite sides of this battle, you will soon get the sense that God has something else in store for these young lives.  This tale will take on a much faster pace, as this battle begins to take on a much more serious and dangerous tone!

When the dust settles, hang on to see where Kate and Henry's relationship takes them!

Susan Anne Mason's latest tale, A Most Noble Heir, will take you back to Derbyshire, England, in the year 1884.  You find Nolan Price working hard as a stable hand for the Earl of Stainsby; however, he has bigger dreams.  Nolan has been saving money to some day soon purchase his own farm!

On the day that Nolan finally makes a deal with Mr. Simpson, a local farmer, to purchase his land,  he receives word that mother has collapsed. When Nolan's mother learns that she is near death, she pulls Nolan close to share some shocking news.  Nolan's father, the man he has wondered about his entire life, is actually the Earl of Stainsby!

Hold on to see how Nolan and the earl deal with the fact that Nolan wants to marry Hannah Burnham, a kitchen maid, who is now beneath his class.  Will Nolan take actions against his strong-handed father, or will his dreams dissolve before his eyes?
