Beneath His Silence, by Hannah Linder, tells the tale of Ella Pemberton. This young woman is determined to find the man who murdered her sister, Lucy and make him pay. She is following up where her father left the search when he died. Ella fears it was Lucy’s husband. She will move forward with her own search under an assumed name, Miss Woodhart. Ella does not want Lord Henry Sedgewick to know his sister-in-law is investigating Lucy’s death!

Henry has just returned home to find his son’s governess ready to leave her post. Now he must find a replacement. Little does Henry know that the woman he hires, Miss Woodhart, is actually Lucy’s sister, Ella. When Ella meets young Peter Sedgwick, she immediately falls in love with little boy, who looks so much like her sister!

This tale gets rather dark as both Henry and Ella seek peace concerning Lucy’s death. Hold tight until you finally learn the truth about what happened to Ella’s sister!

Targeted is a book containing several romantic suspense novellas! 

The first is entitled, On the Run, by Lynette Eason. After Daria Nevsky is attacked by an unknown assailant, she soon finds herself on the run. When Daria winds up in a hospital several states away, Daria strangely knows the doctor who performs surgery on her. Hold tight as you see Daria and this doctor find themselves in some very dangerous situations! 

The next tale is Deadly Objective, by Lynn Blackburn. Emily Dixon has been treating the Vice President’s teenage son, Mason, several times a week. Each time she sees Liam Harper, Mason’s personal Secret Service agent. Their relationship had been slowly morphing from professional to something more; however, her whole world dramatically changes when the vice president’s home is attacked! 

Caught in the Crossing Hairs, by Natalie Waters, brings this book to a close. When Claudia Gallegos pulls up outside the home of Prince Mohamed of the Saudi royal family, she has no idea what she will find inside. When Claudia is charged for the deaths of the people she finds, she has no idea how she will avoid paying the price for someone else’s evil deeds. Ari Blackman, a fellow CIA coworker, is brought in to determine her guilt or innocence. After Claudia is persued by someone who seems to be up to no good, you know this tale will be full of a lot of action. Claudia and Ari will find themselves in some tight situations by the final page of this tale! 

Body of Evidence

Body of Evidence, by Irene Hannon, opens with Forensic pathologist Grace Reilly hearing some strange sounds as she is finishing up her latest autopsy. She exits the mortuary to find that damage had been left on her vehicle. When Grace seeks assistance from the local police, she meets Sheriff Nate Cox. She has no idea how her life is about to change in more ways than one! 

 When Grace becomes suspicious about the similarities between the deaths of two elderly residents, she soon pulls Nate into trying to uncover what is going on. You will not believe what they discover by the final page of this tale!

Sundown

Sundown, by Susan May Warren, is a story you will not soon forget! 

In the wilds near Denali National Park, Colt Kingston and Tea Price locate the plane that crashed while Tea was inside. Colt does not quite believe her story about the incident; however, he cannot quite put the pieces together either. All Tae knows is that she needs to retrieve her backpack containing a notebook filled with notes concerning her work. Colt finally encourages her to confess what her work involves. Tae is a scientist who thinks the world is about to be infected with an ancient form of smallpox! 

You will soon see all three Kingston brothers get involved with trying to head off this travesty. Details about each brother’s life will be shared in the midst of this activity. The situation is much more complicated than you would ever have imagined. This is definitely a typical Susan May Warren tale, full of the unknown and nonstop action! 

Hold fast for an ending you would never imagine!

Dark of Night

Dark of Night, by Colleen Coble, opens with Annie Pederson waiting to come face-to-face with Taylor, the woman who had been caring for her daughter but actually may be her long-lost sister Sarah. When she is finally staring into this woman’s eyes, she does see a hint of her sister. However, Annie fears she is being scammed! 

At the same time Annie to trying figure if her sister is truly back in her world, she has a police case where she is trying to locate a missing woman. You will not believe the trouble this woman is actually in! 

As in a typical Colleen Cobble story, this tale is full of action and a lot of unknowns. You will not be able to put this book down!

Falling for the Cowgirl

 

Falling for the Cowgirl, by Jody Hedlund, introduces Ivy McQuaid as she successfully brings down a steer in a roping contest. Unfortunately, in the year 1869, she can only accomplish this feat by disguising herself as a man. Ivy cannot believe it when the same day Jericho Bliss shows up. This is the very man Ivy had a crush on several years ago! 

Ivy is worried that Jericho will see through her disguise. When he realizes it is truly Ivy putting her life at risk, Jericho knows he must stop her at all costs. Not only does Jericho want to stop Ivy from getting hurt, he does not know what to do about his growing feelings for her. When Jericho gets caught by Ivy’s brothers with his arms around this beautiful woman, he knows that he has not only caused trouble with Ivy’s family, but also put his own heart at risk! 

Before you know it, Ivy is injured in a shootout between Jericho, who is actually a bounty hunter, and the outlaw he had been tracking. Now it seems Ivy’s brothers may never allow any relationship between Ivy and Jericho! 

After Ivy recovers from the complications of a gunshot wound, she learns that Jericho used the bounty reward money to purchase the ranch she had been saving for.  Ivy is surprised when he actually gives the ranch to her.  The only problem is that Jericho is not there.  As a bounty hunter, he is taking the outlaws to jail.  You wonder if Jericho will ever join her on her new property! 

Hold tight to see the ending of this fast-paced tale.  It is definitely worth the wait!!

Midnight’s Budding Morrow

Midnight’s Budding Morrow, by Carolyn Miller, opens with Sarah Drayton making plans to visit her best friend’s family home. The only hesitation she has is that she has no desire to cross paths with her friend’s brother, James Langley. Sarah’s lone interaction with this man left much to be desired! 

When Sarah arrives at Langley House, she senses a feeling of emptiness in this home. Not only does James show up, but before you know it, her best friend actually elopes. Then the most surprising turn of events shows Sarah heading down the aisle to pledge her life to James in marriage! 

You will see Sarah and James deal with hard trials as you journey through the pages of this tale. By the final page, you will see God make something beautiful from the ashes!
