Target Acquired

Target Acquired, by Lynette Eason, opens with SWAT medic Kenzie King heading to a crime scene.  She is trying so hard to fit in with this team.  After a member of her team is injured by stray bullets, she follows up on his status.  As she is leaving the hospital, Kenzie’s life is seriously impacted when a car attempts to run her down!

Sargent Cole Garrison, the SWAT team leader, has a problem on his hands.  Not only is he drawn towards Kenzie, he is concerned that some of the team may not have her back if any more danger appears.  However, when someone up to no good shows up at Kenzie’s home, Cole knows they are after her!

Hold tight to see who and what Kenzie and Cole come up against as they dig through all the unknowns.  You will not believe who is identified in the end!

The Knight and the Dove, by Lori Wick, completes her Kensington Chronicles series.  This tale begins in the year 1531.  Megan has lived at the convent with the nuns for several years; however, now she has been called home.  She cannot believe the reason why.  Her father is sending her to meet her intended, Bracken of Hawkings Crest!

After her mother sends her away unexpectedly, Megan shows up with no one aware that she was coming.  This does not bode well for her introduction to her new home!

This is an interesting tale as you see Megan and Bracken grow in their marriage as well as deal with many changes along the way!

Who Brings Forth the Wind

 

Who Brings Forth the Wind, by Lori Wick, is an interesting tale set in London, England.  The year is 1853 and Stacey Daniel’s is making her first trip from the country to visit her Aunt Lucinda in town.  London will prove to more than Stacey could have imagined!

Once she meets Lord Tanner Richardson, the Duke of Cambridge, her world begins to change.  Tanner is a brooding man; however, Stacey cannot help but be drawn toward him!

Before you know it, Tanner, the man who vowed to never marry again, actually asks Stacey to be his wife.  After what appears to be starting off as a warm relationship, Tanner sends Stacey away when he assumes she is unfaithful.  Hold tight to find out if their marriage is ever resolved!

Wings of the Morning

 

Wings of the Morning, by Lori Wick, introduces you to Victoria (Smokey) Simmons as she buries her father in the ocean.  Now Smokey is not sure which way to turn.  All she can do is continue to captain the Aramis, the ship given to her by her beloved father!

Several years later, as you see Smokey meet Jennifer Pemberton, you have no idea how her life is about to change. It is fun to see this new friendship grow.  When Smokey meets Jen’s brother, Captain Dallas Knight, you sense her life will never be the same!

Smokey is automatically drawn toward Dallas; however, she knows she must head back to her ship for her next voyage before things get too complicated.  When Dallas learns that this new friend of his sister’s is actually his primary competition on the high seas, he has no idea what his next step should be.  After Smokey allows Dallas to join her crew on her next voyage, you wonder if he will see a whole new side of Smokey!

You will not believe the situation that arises before the end of this tale.  Will Dallas and Smokey relationship actually survive?

The Hawk and the Jewel

 

The Hawk and the Jewel, by Lori Wick, opens in a distant land.  When her mother dies after being washed overboard, Sunny Gallagher is adopted by the emir of Darhabar.  She is given the name Shani and raised as his favored child.  Once she reaches her teenage years, this ruler decides to return her to her homeland.  This change is almost too much for Shani to bear!

Once this young girl arrives in London, she must adjust to so many things, including her own name.  She now she must answer to her given name Sunny.  As she grows up, it is interesting to see how her relationships with her relatives slowly grow.  It is especially of interest to see how Sunny interacts with the man who came to rescue her!

This tale ends with a surprise when emir shows up to have one last interaction with Sunny.  This is definitely a tale worth the time!

The Best of Friends

 

 

The Best of Friends is another fun tale from Sarah Eden.  Daria Mullins has completed three seasons in London without making a match.  She just does not want to go home and leave her friends and so many activities behind.  After a bit of planning, Daria and her brother, come up with a plan that allows her to remain in London for a fourth season.  However, her mother declares it will definitely be her final one!

Thomas Comstock, better known as Toss, has been told by his older brother that this will be his only season.  Therefore, he knows he better make the most of it.  After Daria crosses paths with Toss, they both acknowledge that this season may be their last one.  This leads them to form a competition to try to make the most of their situation.  When Daria shares the details of this competition with her friends, the Huntresses, they all agree to help her win!

As you watch this competition get underway, you will also see something more than friendship growing between Daria and Toss.  You wonder if they will ever be able to confess their feelings to each other!

Hold tight as Daria and Toss make their way through all the bumps along the way.  Before the end of this tale, you will see many familiar faces from earlier Sarah Eden books!

The Truth about Miss Ashbourne

The Truth about Miss Ashbourne, by Joanna Barker, is an interesting tale to read.  Julianna Ashbourne is living and working as a simple governess when she suddenly gets a summons to a solicitor's office across town.  Julianna soon learns that she is to inherit more money than she can imagine from her estranged grandfather.  The only caveat is that Julianna must leave London and live for a month on the estate that her mom ran away from years ago!

Julianna is uncertain about moving to this unknown place; however, when she arrives, she is pleasantly surprised to meet the family that her mother left behind!

The only complicating factor for Julianna is the way she is drawn toward Mr. William Rowley, the new heir to the estate.  Julianna cannot figure out how she can fit into this new world!

 Hold on. This is a fun tale to wander through!
