The Seamstress

In Allison Pitman's latest book, The Seamstress, you will meet two cousins, Renee and Laurette, growing up in the countryside of France.  When both of their parents die, these girls are left to find their way as orphans without a home.  Soon they meet Emile Gagnon, a young widower, who finds some space in his barn for Renee and Laurette to call home!

When Renee's sewing skills are noticed by a wealthy woman, she is quickly transported to a new life as a seamstress to the Queen in Paris.  Laurette decides to stay in the countryside, so she can chase after a handsome young man, who unfortunately is following down a dangerous path!

The year is 1788 in France and the desperation and hunger of the people will bring a lot of danger and violence to all.  Hang on until the final page to see what changes will come to Renee and Laurette's lives!

Never Let Go

Never Let Go is a fast-paced tale by Elizabeth Goddard.  This pace starts from the first page when Willow Anderson, forensic genealogist, learns that her dear grandfather, JT Anderson, who raised her after her parents died, has unexpectedly died.  JT was simply out riding his bicycle!

Before Willow can deal with JT's death, she is awakened to the fact that their house is on fire and is burning down around her.  The next surprise Willow encounters is the entrance of ex-FBI agent, Austin McCade, her former boyfriend.  JT had invited Austin to join him on his latest project, to locate a girl stolen from her mother soon after her birth.  To complicate this job, the abduction took place over twenty years ago!

When Willow and Austin head out to Wyoming to follow a piece of evidence, they have no idea where this thread will lead.  Not only do they find they are a step closer to finding this missing child, but Austin is forced to deal with some ugly truths about the life he has tried to leave behind!

This book was hard to put down until I could put all the pieces of this story together!

A wealthy man in Hagenheim, Germany, has two young sons, Steffan and Wolfgang, who want to prove themselves worthy of being knighted.  These young men decide to join in with this fight.  As they make their way to join the battle, Wolfgang learns that while he wants to fight for the Polish people; unfortunately, his brother, Steffan, has decided he will take up arms on the opposite side of the battle!

Unfortunately, the fight will be brother against brother!  You will see how God will use these three young people, Mulan, Steffan, and Wolfgang, as they are confronted with the evilness in this world!
