The Pursuit

 

The Pursuit, by Lori Wick, details Edward Steele’s return trip to England after his time in Africa.  When he accompanies several shipmates, Mr. Osborne and his man, ashore, Edward reveals that he knows Mr. Osborne is actually not a man.  However, he does not know the reason for this fabrication!

Edward soon discovers that her name is actually Nicola Battencourt.  This tale gets rather interesting after Edward learns that Niki has been hiding from her former mother-in-law who is wants to get her hands on Niki’s twin boys!

This is definitely a fun storyline to follow!

Never Fall Again

 

Never Fall Again, by Lynn H. Blackburn, opens with Landry Hutton meeting Calum Shaw.  A close friend has recommended Cal to help Landry have a new home built for herself and her young daughter.   Before they can move ahead on this project, Cal and Landry learn that The Haven, the location of Landry’s current home and workplace, is actually on fire and much of Landry’s pottery is being destroyed in the blaze!

Landry decides to put her house on hold until the destroyed store can be put back in operation.  When a second attack takes place at the store, Landry realizes that someone devious is definitely at work!

All Landry wants is a safe place to raise her daughter.  Hold tight as you discover what happens next and more importantly who is behind it all!

To Speak His Name, by Tara Johnson, tells of Avalina’s days at a plantation in Barbados.  These early harsh days have left her in a world of silence.  Avalina simply refuses to speak!

When Josiah Holland visits the island, you sense that something is bound to change.   Traveling with his father, who himself is a slave owner, Josiah soon sees the ugliness of this world.  After he meets Avalina, he has no choice but to change the direction of his life!

After Josiah helps Avalina escape from the island during a slave uprising, you will see both enter a new world of both freedom and pain.  Soon they marry and they end up at Josiah's family plantation in South Carolina.  Avalina must gain acceptance from a new group of people - Josiah’s family!

Just when she begins to feel safe, Avalina's past reaches out to grab her.  You wonder if Josiah and Avalina will finally realize that only God can provide true freedom!

The Visitor

 

The Visitor, by Lori Wick, details how God leads the Steele sisters to what  He has in store for each of them!

Elizabeth Steele has set her eyes on her brother’s friend, Thomas Morland; unfortunately, he is half a world away on a trip to Africa.  Liz has no idea when she will ever see him again and more importantly, if he will even want to see her!

Cassandra Steele has crossed paths with Alexander Tate as she begins reading to him, after a fall from his horse has left him temporarily blind.  As their relationship seems to be moving towards something serious, Cassie fears that Tate will be disappointed when he is finally able to see clearly and realizes that Cassie has bright red hair!

It is fun to see where these sisters land by the final page of this tale!
