After Grace discovers that her sister is pregnant, she instead finds herself heading down the aisle to marry Frederick.  As the newlyweds travel across the ocean to England, Grace enjoys getting to know her husband better.  However, once they arrive at Ravenbrook Hall, Grace realizes that she must also get acquainted with her bitter and hateful mother-in-law!

It is interesting to see how Grace slowly falls in love with Frederick and his estate.  However, Grace soon learns that there is a mystery about this place that needs to be brought into the light.  Something dastardly happened to Frederick's father and brother!

Entwined, by Jody Hedlund, is a young-adult book that tells a tale full of action.  Sir Ansgar is one of the knights who has sworn to protect the king, even to the point of giving his own life.  When this knight learns that the king’s own sage may be slowly poisoning him, he knows he must take action!

However, before Ansgar can do anything, he is forced to leave the kingdom.  To make matters worse, on his way out of town, Ansgar is attacked by a band of rogue knights.  When a flying fire-breathing creature swoops in and rescues him, Ansgar is saved from sure death.  He soon finds himself dropped-off at the farm of Lis’s family.  Ansgar and Lis had previously meet due to their mutual concern for the king!

Now Lis quickly moves into action to treat Ansgar’s injuries. Once Ansgar begins to heal, he feels he must return to try to protect the king.  Lis has grown attached to Ansgar and does not want him to leave.   However, when her father tells her she was actually born, Princess Elisbet,  Lis cannot believe that she is next in line to the king!

Ansgar would not simply be leaving, but instead he would be her guard and chaperone.  It is interesting to see how Ansgar and Lis battle together along their way to their destiny. You will not believe who shows up on the final chapters of this tale!

Cassandra leaves the girls school, where she had teaching for several years, to venture to northern England to track down Robert Clark. She arrives at Briarton Park only to find that Mr. Clark is no longer living. Cassandra soon meets James Warrington, the new owner of Briarton Park and a local mill. Her life is definitely about to change. You wonder-will it be for the better or for the worse?

After Cassandra learns that she is actually the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Clark, you will not believe all the awkward situations she finds herself embroiled in. Soon James and Cassandra begin to work together to solve this mystery. Wait until you see how the pieces of this puzzle come together in the end!

One evening, as Emmeline is being pursued by some rough characters, she literally runs into Theodora de Vickers y Mendoza.  As their actual names are not initially exchanged, they simply go by their nicknames, Captain and Ears.  Theo had originally come to England to help build up his family's business, but now he has changed his focus.  Helping look out for the children, living in poverty, on the streets of London!

The evening before Emmeline must return to school, she and Theo meet in a place you never would have expected.  This tale will end in a very interesting way, full of talk of spies and all that entails!

This targeting seems to continue when Erin’s former boyfriend, Nathan Campbell, watches his father suddenly struck-down with a bullet as they are fishing. This father and son duo had recently renewed their relationship and Nathan does not know which way to turn to discover who is behind this deadly act! 

After a dam break lets loose a flood of fast moving water, Nathan and Erin almost lose their lives.   They suddenly realize they are both in trouble. Both Erin and Nathan decide they can only move forward by solving a cold-case, that Nathan learned of from his father, to discover who may want to take their lives! 

This is a high-paced tale with unknowns and action from beginning to end. Nathan and Erin have no idea who they can trust. You will not believe who is behind all these attempts to take Erin and Nathan out of the picture!

As Liam helps Chelsea reorganize her aunt's shop, they not only learn a lot about Cora, but also about themselves.  In the end, Chelsea and Liam discover that beauty can truly come from ashes!

After Nathan agrees to accompany Caroline and her father up to this amazing mountain peak, he is surprised to see all that Caroline is able to do on this dangerous journey.  Once Caroline finally accomplishes her goal, you sense that she has begun to feel a bit attached to Nathan!

The next question concerns whether this attraction is strong enough to cause Caroline to leave the wealth of her current world to embrace a quieter life with Nathan.  Hold tight for an exciting conclusion to this tale!

By the final page of this tale, you will not only discover Ella's place in the dance world, but also the truth behind her mother's experience!

This is this first time Neil has performed actual work.  Hold on to see all the ways that not only the farm is improved; but more importantly, Teresa and Neil's lives as well!

This group of fugitives will soon lead Madison and Jonas on a wild goose chase, as they follow them along their escape route.  After several individuals are killed along the way, this group will have much to answer for!

It is interesting to see how these fugitives are finally captured!

The Escape, by Lisa Harris, starts out with a quick task for US marshals Madison James and Jonas Quinn.  They must simply escort two felons to another Federal prison.  Unfortunately, the plane they are on crashes in a storm, leaving both pilots and one of the felons dead!

Madison and Jonas must quickly change their mindset.  They not only need to stay alive, but also track down the remaining convict, who is fleeing for his life!

Searching for this criminal in the forests of Wyoming and Idaho is a difficult task for Madison and Jonas.  Things get even more complicated, when one of these agents' families get threatened in the midst of this madness!

After a long and messy job of hunting down and catching this prisoner, you will see Madison return home, only to be confronted by the person, who killed her husband five long years ago!

You will meet Allie Adams and Luke Fletcher as they attempt to deliver a 57’ Chevy Mustang to Allie’s grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party. The situation is very complicated due to their “secret” relationship that had fizzled out years ago. Hold on as they navigate a very tricky situation!

The next tale is Pining for You, by Melissa Ferguson. Theodore Watkins III and Skye Fuller could not be more opposite. They had been formerly best friends. Now you wonder if their relationship will grow to something so much more!

The final tale is He Loves Me; He Loves Me Not, by Kathleen Fuller. Sophie Morgan is a workaholic who is ready to enter the dating scene; unfortunately, she must choose between two very handsome gentlemen!

When odd "accidents" begin taking place, Darby knows something devious is at work.  She scrambles to solve the mystery of what is really happening at this dude ranch high in the mountains!

Wow....this is a complicated tale.  Hang on for a wild ride!

To Save a King is the latest from Rachel Hauck.  This tale will take you back to Lauchtenland.  This small European country has a very interesting royal family!

Crown Prince John is being prepared to one day be the king of this land.  When John is sent to America on an errand for his mother, he hopes to find something to help set him free from the pain of losing his wife.  John has no idea that he is about to meet Gemma Stone, a woman who has the capability of totally changing his world!

As Gemma and John spend time together, they begin to sense that something bigger than just a friendship is developing between them.  An emergency calls John home; however, he cannot seem to forget this beautiful woman he left behind!

Suddenly a secret from Gemma's past is revealed and there seems to be no hope for this budding relationship.  Due to the potential for shame to fall on his family, John feels he cannot move forward with Gemma.  When the mysterious man, Emmanuel, shows up on the scene, he sheds new light and life on the subject!

You wonder if Gemma and John will finally be set free from the pain of their former lives by the end of this tale?

This is an interesting tale to follow as Grace attempts to fool everyone into thinking that she is actually Hope.  However, the one person who instantly sees through her false story is their dear friend Jacob Barnes!

You wonder how long Jacob will be able to help Grace keep the truth from her family and friends.  It is interesting to see how Jacob and Grace's friendship evolves during their time trying to protect this cover-up!

Rescuing Lord Inglewood, by Sally Britton, begins this author's Inglewood Series.  As Esther Fox rushes to save Lord Silas Inglewood from a falling statue, she suddenly finds herself in a compromising situation!

After Silas does all he can to protect Esther from the town's gossip, he soon finds himself married to Esther, the younger sister of his best friend, Sir Isaac Fox.  As Silas heads back to his work at the House of Lords, he leaves his new bride alone at one of his estates.  Silas has no idea the problem this action will cause!

This problem gets even more complicated when Silas learns that his best friend, Isaac, who has been away fighting battles in France, has been reported missing in action!

Watch and see how Silas deals with this situation and his new bride's reaction to this news.  You will see more surprised than you would ever have expected!

A Lady in Attendance, by Rachel Fordham, is a very interesting tale.  After serving five years in the New York State penitentiary, for a crime she never committed, Hazel has acquired a job as a lady in attendance for a dentist.  In the year, 1898, this is not a pretty job.  However, Dr. Gilbert Watts proves to be a generous man.  After being rejected by her own family, Hazel is surprised to encounter his kindness!

When Gilbert finally learns the details of Hazel's past, you wonder if he will still be able to accept her!

Hold on to see a picture of true acceptance and forgiveness, when you see Gilbert help Hazel discover the truth about why she was falsely sent to prison!

Come Back to Me













Come Back to Me, by Jody Hedlund, is a fast-paced tale. Marion Creighton has been working diligently with her father to find a cure for the tumors at large in her sister Ellen’s body.  This condition took her mother’s life and Marion is determined to make sure the same death does not find Ellen!

When Marion’s father suddenly ends up in a coma, she drops everything to rush to his side.  After Marion finds their London home in shambles, she starts looking deeper.  She soon discovers that her father’s current state is due to his quest to discover a cure for all diseases!

Her father had drunk a serum that put him into a time wrap.  When Marion samples a bit of the serum herself, she finds herself walking around in the Middle Ages.  At this point, this tale starts moving at a crazy speed with Marion hopping between current day and days in the 1300s.  The final jump to current day will bring some very interesting facts to light!

Wow....this book drew me in from page one.  A tale not soon to be forgotten!

No Journey Too Far, by Carrie Turansky, continues the tale of the McAlister children and their journey to America.   This second book fills in the blanks as to the final destination of each child.  The youngest child, Grace, was adopted by a wealthy couple in New York.  Now Grace is on the verge of turning eighteen and her parents want to put her on the marriage market.  However, Grace wants to move in a different direction!

When her brother Garth suddenly shows up at her home, her parents do not believe he is truly her brother and immediately have him thrown out of the house.  Grace has been wondering about her birth family for awhile and sees Garth's offer to take her back to England to meet her birth family as an answer to her prayers.  After Grace decides to sneak out of the house and join Garth for this trip, you will not believe all the circumstances that keep getting in their way!

This is an interesting story to follow as you see the hand of God moving to bring this family back together.  You definitely do not want to miss the ending of this tale!

At Lighthouse Point, by Suzanne Woods Fisher, wraps up this author's latest series, Three Sisters Island.  

Blaine Grayson goes to France to follow her dream of becoming a chef.  However, this plan does not come together as easily as she thought it would.  When Blaine comes to the point of giving up, God brings a friend into her life who brings hope to help her move forward!

After completing training at Le Cordon Bleu, Blaine is finally returning home.  When Blaine shows up at her father's camp, ready to share with her family all the changes the last two years have brought, she instead finds that her father and older sister, Cam, have taken it upon themselves to re-design the camp's kitchen.  Everything about this new set-up is opposite of what a chef would need. Blaine must find a different place to use her new skills!

So much has changed on this quiet island in Maine.  Some for the better; however, the locals are having a hard time adjusting.  Another major change Baine encounters is that her best-friend Artie Lotosky is now the island's doctor, and Blaine feels that she does not know this man at all.  Unknown to Blaine, an occurrence in their past has caused a breakdown in their friendship!

Watch and see if Blaine and Artie will be able mend their relationship as Blaine attempts to fit into this new and ever-changing world!

The Shell Collector, by Nancy Naigle, tells the story of Amanda Whittier.  Amanda is a young widow, who after the death of her Marine husband, is looking for a start-over in life with her two young children.  Amanda decides to relocate her family to live in a cottage along the shores of a beachtown.  Amanda will soon meet some interesting people in her new location who will help her on her journey of recovery!

First, Amanda meets Maeve Lindsay, an elderly widow, who has already walked this path of the loss of a spouse.  The friendship that grows, not only touches Amanda's heart, but also that of her children.  Next. Amanda encounters Paul Grant, a face from her past; not only is Paul a former friend of Amanda's, but also the best-friend of her late husband.  You wonder how this friendship will affect her life now!

When seashells, with special messages, start showing-up at odd places in Amanda's world, you wonder who is the author of these gifts.  When Amanda learns that multiple individuals in town have also received these shells, the mystery seems to deepen.  Hang on until the final pages of this tale to learn not only the origin of these shells, but also how Amanda's life is touched by these special friendships in her life!

Let It Be Me












Let It Be Me, by Becky Wade, is a tale that opens with a bang.  Leah Montgomery, a math prodigy who is currently teaching advanced mathematics at her brother's high school, has received surprising news from a genealogy web-site.   The man and woman, who raised her, are not actually her birth parents!

This knowledge seems to open up a lot of unknowns for Leah.  Along this journey of trying to discover information about her actual parents, Leah crosses paths with Sebastian Grant, a pediatric heart surgeon.  At first, Leah does not remember that she had meet this man previously.  She had come upon an accident outside her hometown and this was that man inside a crumbled up vehicle!

This is an interesting tale as you watch Sebastian assist Leah in her search for her parents.  As with all of Becky Wade's stories, there will be surprises along the way!

You definitely do not want to miss this tale!

Castle of Refuge, by Melanie Dickerson,  tells the tale of two young adults who have both suffered grave losses in life.  Audrey was pushed into a fire by her sister and is unfortunately left with a scarred face.  While defending his youngest brother from a violent attack, Edwin, the Earl Of  Dericott, actually losses one of his arms!

When Audrey finds herself in need of a place of safety, she finds refuge in Edwin’s castle.  You will soon see a friendship growing between these two.  It is interesting to see how Edwin and Audrey reach out to each other, as well as seek God, when their days yet again begin to fill up with danger!

Winning the Gentleman












Winning the Gentleman , by Kristi Ann Hunter, is a tale set in the countryside of England in the early 1800's.  Aaron Whitworth is working hard managing the care and the racing of his wealthy friends/clients horses.  His latest task is to find a jockey to race in a challenge his friend Oliver has accepted.  After Aaron hires a horse tainer at a traveling circus, he is surprised to discover that this trainer is not a man, but rather a woman!

Sophia Fitzroy has been looking for a means to escape her life traveling with the circus, so there is no way she is passing up on the job offer that has come her way.  Aaron has no idea what to do with a woman jockey, especially one who wears pants under her riding skirts to make racing the horse much easier!

This is a fun tale to follow, as both Aaron and Sophia learn how to handle the great differences in their personalities.  Hang on to see the grand conclusion to this tale!

Jane and Reid are yet again caught-up in trying to solve a murder.  Unfortunately, this time there is a complicating factor.  Their son, Will, is the one accused of being the culprit!

As Chief of Police, Jane Hardy, does all she can to prove her son's innocence, your heart goes out to this woman just recently reunited with her son.  When individuals from the cult Jane and Reid were raised in suddenly show up, they discover this group is up to no good!

Hold on for the conclusion to this fast-moving tale.  You will finally learn the name of the actual culprit, and what happened on those three days that are missing from Jane's memory!

Blackberry Beach, by Irene Hannon, will introduce you to Zach Garrett.  Zach is the owner of the Perfect Blend coffee shop and this location allows him to keep an eye out on what is happening in Hope Harbor, Oregon.  Currently, he has his eye on a mysterious woman who keeps showing up at his door.  This woman seems afraid of something; however, Zach has no clue what it could be!

After the chaos she left behind, Katherine Parker is simply looking for calm.  You wonder if she will find it in Hope Harbor.  Zach has a secret himself that he is keeping under wraps.  In the past two years, Zach has built a new life for himself and has no desire to return to his old world!

This is an interesting tale, as you explore the lives of Zach and Katherine and get a glimpse of the peace they are both seeking!

Hooked on You, by Kathleen Fuller, is a tale set in the small town of Maple Falls, Arkansas.  Riley McAllister has not been home in ten years; however, when she learns her grandma Mimi has broken a leg and needs assistance, Riley cannot stay away, no matter how much she wants to!

Riley cannot believe it, when she learns that Mimi has sent Hayden Price to pick her up at the airport.  Hayden was one of the reasons that Riley left Maple Falls and never looked back!

Now that Riley is back in Maple Falls, it is interesting to see everything in which she becomes involved. She cleans up Mimi's house, as well as Mimi's crafting store, Knot's and Tangles, with Hayden's help.  However, everything gets upended when after thirteen years,Riley's mother suddenly walks back into her life!

Bookshop by the Sea is the latest tale from Denise Hunter.  Following family trauma, which included her mother's health failing and her father walking away, Sophie Lawson must put her dreams on hold in order to help her siblings move forward with their own lives!

Now, it is time for Sophie to focus on her dream of opening a bookstore in a small town by the sea.  First, she must take part in her sister Jenna's wedding.  Sophie cannot believe it when she comes face-to-face with the best man.  It is none other than her former boyfriend, Aiden Maddox.  Although they experienced a rough break-up years ago, you sense their old feelings are still close to the surface!

When a hurricane threatens the area, Sophie and Aiden end up riding out the storm together.  Soon, after the storm hits, Sophie sprains her ankle and Aiden decides to delay his trip home to help Sophie prepare her bookshop for its grand opening!

Hang on to see if Aiden and Sophie are able to overcome the same issues that initially ended their relationship.   Hopefully, they can find a new place to safely land!

Fortune Favors the Sparrow is the latest tale from Rebecca Connolly.  Clara Harlow has been quietly teaching art and French at a girls finishing school located in the countryside of England.  She is suddenly approached to consider adding to her work activity.  Clara is offered a chance to use her skills as an actual spy for England!

When Clara's first mission leads her to a secondary home of the Duke of Kirklin, she is surprised when the Duke, better known as Hawk, suddenly shows up.  Hawk, a confirmed bachelor, with nothing to do, has decided to visit his properties and try getting his hands dirty with actual work!

Hawk is surprised himself, when he comes face to face with Clara.  It is interesting to see how Clara and Hawk interact in the midst of her spying activity.  You wonder how long Clara will be able to keep her alternate life a secret from Hawk!

This is a fun tale to follow.  Definitely a must-read!
