The Mistletoe Countess, by Pepper Basham, is a very interesting tale. As Lord Frederick Percy is visiting the Virginia home of his bride-to-be, he accidentally kisses Grace Ferguson, the sister of his fiance. The only problem is that Frederick enjoyed the kiss much more than is proper!
After Grace discovers that her sister is pregnant, she instead finds herself heading down the aisle to marry Frederick. As the newlyweds travel across the ocean to England, Grace enjoys getting to know her husband better. However, once they arrive at Ravenbrook Hall, Grace realizes that she must also get acquainted with her bitter and hateful mother-in-law!
It is interesting to see how Grace slowly falls in love with Frederick and his estate. However, Grace soon learns that there is a mystery about this place that needs to be brought into the light. Something dastardly happened to Frederick's father and brother!
