Christmas Forevermore opens with A Family Christmas, by Sally Britton Early one winter morning Jane Allen is accosted by her two young cousins.  She works are as a paid companion to these girls grandmother; however, Jane always has time for fun.  As she prepares to run out into the snow with the youngsters, Jane runs headlong into Cyril Grant.  Watch what happens as Jane attempts to help Cyril, who has lived in the Caribbean for years, fit in with his family.  Cyril will bond with more than just his family by the end of this tale!


The next tale is Christmas Forevermore, by Sarah Eden You meet Minna Schofield on the first page.  Her father had left her with enough money to support herself in her single state; however, a London busybody has declared that she will find a husband for Minna by Christmas Day.  This woman has set up three candidates as potential mates.   As you wonder what Minna will think of these men, you are introduced to her dear friend Rupert Crawford.  You wonder if anything with develop between these old friends.  This is a fun tale by an awesome author!


Christmas at Cranfield, by Ashtyn Newbold, opens with Hannah Somerton yet again trying to keep her crush on her best friend, Samuel Merchant, a secret from her family.  She has not seen Samuel in four long years; however, when she finally arrives at Cranfield, Hannah learns that Samuel is soon to be married.  You will be surprised by how this delightful tale ends!


A Thrill of Hope, by Karen Thornell, wraps up this book filled with Christmas novellas.  Isabel Reid is planning a trip.  She is surprised when Mr. Collingham’s son, Robert, shows up to deliver her to her destination .  After some rough weather, Isabel and Robert finally arrive at her aunt’s house.  Soon they both realize her aunt is intent on some matchmaking.  As Isobel and Robert interact with each other in and about her aunt’s home, you wonder if Isobel has discovered a new friend to help cover the hardships she has experienced in her life!

An Inconvenient Letter, by Julie Wright, introduces Marietta Stone on the opening page of this tale.  This young woman has secretly been in love with Frederick Finch for years and she has poured out her heart on paper.  However, when these letters are accidentally sent to Frederick’s home, all Marietta can think of is retrieving  these items before they end up in the wrong person’s hands!


Those hands end up being Frederick’s cousin, Gerald Hartwell.  This gentleman man is looking for a way to financially save his late father’s estate and these letters look like the perfect opportunity.  Gerald hopes to make some kind of bargain with Marietta!


You wonder what will happen when Gerald suddenly wants this pretend romance to be something very real.  This is definitely a tale not to be missed!

In Windsong Manor, by Julie Wright, you will meet Eleanor Coventry on the opening page.  Nora, who married a much older gentleman at the age of fifteen, is now twenty-seven.  As her husband, Lord Coventry, is dying, Nora learns that, besides caring for her own son, she must also raise this man’s illegitimate daughter after his death.  This situation is almost too much!


After her husband’s death, Nora moves her family to Windsong Manor, one of her family’s estates in the countryside.   She hopes this move will have a positive effect on both of her children.  When Nora and her family meet Ridley Ellis, one of the stable masters, they have no idea how their lives are about to change!  


Ridley seems to have a way with both horses and with people.  You’ll be surprised, when the secret Ridley has been hiding, finally comes to light!

Lady of Disguise, by Melanie Dickerson, introduces Louisa.  This young girl, living in the year 1388, feels she must protect her younger sister after her father passes away.  Her greedy uncle has plans to marry both girls off to the highest bidder.  Soon Louisa disguises herself as a young boy to go in search of a treasure her father had always talked about!


Sir Charles is a knight, who quickly sees through Louisa’s disguise, when they meet in the woods early one morning.   As Charles and Louisa journey together, a friendship and maybe something more slowly grows!


You will be surprised by what Charles and Louisa encounter as they climb the mountain to find the treasure.  A treasure will appear in a place neither would have imagined!

Against the Wind

 











Against the Wind, by Amanda Cabot, tells the tale of Louisa Vaughn.  Louisa had left Sweetwater Crossing to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor.  Now she is returning to her hometown, as an escort to the town’s doctor’s widow to attend his funeral.  However, when she passes an injured man on her way into town, Louisa knows this will not be a quick visit!

As Joshua Porter is traveling across the country, his horse suddenly flings him off.  He lands on the hard ground and ends up with a lump on his head and a broken leg.  When Louisa comes upon him, she knows she must transport him to Sweetwater Crossing and set his leg.  Josh is disappointed because the situation will cause a delay in his plan to try to inherit his family’s business!


After Louisa moves Josh into Finley House, her family home, to recuperate, she realizes much has changed since her departure.  When the doctor’s widow gives her his old office in town, Louisa must rethink her desire to leave!


Watch as Louisa tries to find a place for herself in her hometown and you wonder if there will also be a spot for Josh!

Fragile Designs




















Fragile Designs, by Colleen Coble, opens with Carly Harris finding her husband dead on the floor of her shop filled with her great-grandmother’s collectibles.  She had wanted to share news with him of her pregnancy, now she must focus on setting up a funeral!


Two months after Carly’s baby is born, she begins looking through paperwork her great-grandmother had left her.  She discovers evidence indicating that her grandmother was actually adopted.  Carly has no idea how she will  respond to this information. The adoption paperwork also indicates that her grandmother actually had a twin sister who was also placed!


When Carly discovers a valuable Faberge egg amongst her great-grandmother’s possessions, she knows she must find someone to assist in protecting this amazing find.  Carly turns to Lucas Bennett, a former acquaintance and more importantly, a police officer.  As these two begin looking for the truth about this egg, you will not believe how the pieces of this tale come together by the final page!

Two to Tango

 


On the opening pages of Two to Tango, by Kathleen Fuller, you will meet Olivia Farnsworth.  When she makes her weekly visit to vintage movie night, she is surprised when Dr. Kingston Bedford, her best friend’s brother, shows up in the row beside her.  Olivia has know Kingston her entire life; however, for some reason, tonight she is caught off-balance by his good looks!


Kingston is also surprised that he Is drawn to this woman whom he had always thought of as his sister’s little friend.  After the movie, this duo goes out for coffee.  This “coffee date” ends in a passionate kiss.  Before Olivia knows it, Kingston is apologizing to her and then asking her out on a date.  However, they have trouble finding a time with their very busy lives!


Now, it is eight months later and no date has occurred.  They are both standing up in his sister’s wedding.  How will Kingston deal with Olivia’s cold shoulder?  After another kiss and a promise of another date, you are suddenly one year later and Olivia is still dateless!


The next turn of the events will leave you in shock.  Olivia and Kingston show up in the same dance class!

On Moonberry Lake, by Holly Varni, begins with Cora Matthews standing alone at her mother’s funeral.  Her passing has left Cora struggling to make one tear fall.  She has felt abandoned by her family for years.  Her mother’s death was a surprise to Cora; however, her mother knew this day was coming.  When Vora starts receiving odd stares from the strangers standing around her, she cannot help but stare back.  What kind of strange world was she in!


Cora just broke off her engagement and now she is standing in Moonberry Lake, Minnesota all alone.  Cora has not been here for twenty years, not since her mother took her away.  This is the spot where her mother planned to be buried.  After the funeral, Cora learns her mother’s final request.  She has been given Cora the lease to her grandparents lodge, along with the requirement the she live there for one year!


As Cora starts looking around the lodge, she wonders how she will ever accomplish all the work that needs to be done.  When an angry neighbor shows up at the end of her driveway claiming the lodge is actually on his property, Cora knows she has a fight on her hands!


Hold tight to see how the citizens of Moonberry Lake add to Cora’s life.  They are definitely an interesting lot of individuals.  By the end of this fun tale, you will be excited to see how God has shown Cora that she is truly not alone in this world!

Shadows st Dusk












Shadows at Dusk, by Elizabeth Goddard, is another tale full of action and suspense that will keep your attention to the very last page!


Detective Trevor West travels to Alaska to look into a case he has been trying to solve for over a year.  He is trying to track down his sister Jennifer’s whereabouts.  After pilot Carrie James is recommended to him, he hopes she can help him track down locations in photos his sister had left behind.  After Trevor meets Carrie, he is drawn to her for some reason; however, he has to remember finding his sister is the reason he is in Alaska!


Before you know it, Trevor and Carrie have decided to team up and help each other.  Carrie will help locate info about Trevor’s sister and Trevor will help Carrie discover why her dear friend Isaac was killed.  Isaac had been like a second father to Carrie.  As they travel the backroads of Alaska, they soon find themselves in the midst of danger.  From Carrie being held with a knife to her throat to their hotel being set on fire, Carrie and Trevor know these people after them have evil intentions!


Before you know it, they are standing outside a mining location.  They have no idea the trouble they are about to walk into.  This is the spot Trevor’s sister had been investigating.  Trevor and Carrie soon get a glimpse at what caught Jennifer’s attention.  When a man from Carrie’s past suddenly walks back into her current world, she cannot believe it.  For the past ten years, Carrie had thought this man was dead.  Will Trevor be able to protect her from this threat?  


With all the bullets flying around, you wonder if Trevor and Carrie will still be standing by the final page!

Into The Fire
















Into the Fire, by Irene Hannon, is a tale about arson investigator Bri Tucker teaming up with ATF special agent Marc Davis to investigate and hopefully solve a fire incident.  They are looking into a fire at the home of an experienced arson investigator.  This fire had no witnesses; however, it is not long before connections from previous fires appear!


It is interesting to see a story arise from the pieces of the vidence Marc and Bri discover.  When Bri receives obvious damage to her car, these investigators know she is being targeted.  In the midst of all the evidence, you will also see the sparks fly between these two investigators!


Before the end of this tale, you will learn that two individuals have definitely set Bri up as their target.  Both seem intent on ending her life.  You wonder if either will be successful!

Cloak of Scarlet

 

















On the opening pages of Cloak of Scarlet, Melanie Dickerson introduces Violet Lambton.  The year is 1386 and Violet is on her way to visit her grandmother.  Along the way, she meets Sir Merek of Dericott.  Violet hopes to encounter this handsome knight again.  When she learns a wealthy baron’s knights stole from her grandmother, Violet is ready to fight!


As Violet journeys home, she crosses paths with Sir Merek again.  When she learns that he is one of the baron’s knights, she wants nothing to do with him.  Once he speaks to her grandmother, Sir Merek commits to right the wrong.  After Violet learns that she is actually the daughter of the baron, you will not believe the change of direction this tale will take!


Violet and Sir Merek are determined to find evidence to give to the King that proves the baron is up to no good.  Hold tight to see what happens when the Baron tries to force Violet to marry a viscount she has absolutely no interest in.  Will Sir Merek come to her rescue again?

Wildflower Falls, by Denise Hunter, introduces Charlotte Simpson.  She is living in Riverbend Gap with her mother and younger sister; however, after her mother’s sudden death, Charlotte must find a way to hold onto the family ranch.  This effort is complicated by the fact that she discovers a photo of her birth father in her mother’s paperwork.  Now Charlotte must find out where this man is actually living!


When her new ranch hand, Gunner Dawson, shows up Charlotte is pleasantly surprised.  Not only is he a great asset about the ranch but he is also a perfect sounding board as she continues to work through thoughts about her birth father.  After Charlotte learns she has two half-brothers, who are part of a leading family in town, she is not sure how to approach them.  Things get even more complicated when Charlotte learns her brothers have no relationship with their father due to his past alcoholism!


When challenging situations crop up in both Charlotte and Gunner’s lives, you wonder how this tale will ever come to a good conclusion by the final page!
