Miss Newbury’s List, by Megan Walker, tells of Rosalind Newbury as she prepares for her upcoming wedding. One item is slowing her down. As a child, she created a list of ten things to complete before she gets married. Rosalind knows of only one person, her best-friend Liza, who can help her accomplish this before her big day. When Rosalind arrives at Liza’s doorstep, she finds that no visitors are welcome!
When Rosalind learns from Liza that the house is closed due to her cousin, Charlie, having caused a ruckus in London, she knows she must tackle the list alone. As Rosalind attempts to fulfill the first item, to swim by herself, thankfully Charlie is nearby and saves her life when she begins to drown!
One down with nine to go, it is interesting to see who helps her complete the list. It is even more interesting to see how her life changes completely by the final page of this book!
