Flights of Fancy

Flights of Fancy is the latest from Jen Turano.  Miss Isadora Delafield has been dragged to Newport by her mother to meet an elderly duke who is looking for a young woman to wed.  Unfortunately, Isadora has no interest in this man.  Right for the moment they first meet, Isadora finds him uncouth; however, when she learns that his previous three wives meet with untimely deaths, Isadora knows she must flee as far from him as possible!

Isadora best friend, Beatrix and her family butler help formulate a plan for her to escape the streets of New York to the rural and less populated area of western Pennsylvania.  Isadora, a rich, spoiled heiress, must somehow pretend to be a housekeeper.  You will find this tale full of craziness, as Isadora takes a position on a farm owned by Ian Mackenzie, a young businessman who has worked his way to be part of the elite of Pittsburg!

Isadora must keep her identity a secret, especially from Ian, who has a desire to marry into money to help seal his spot in the land of the wealthy he has landed in.  As Isadora meets so many characters in this new world she has inserted herself into, she slowly discovers that she is not as drawn to the world that she grew up in.  There are many people and a different way of living in this quieter spot of the world, that seem to speak loudly to her spirit.  You will be interested to see how all the details come together in Isadora's life!

Who I Am with You

Robin Lee Hatcher's latest book is Who I Am with You.   This story begins with Jessica Mason attending her beloved grandmother's funeral.  This event brings tears to Jessica's eyes, not only for her grandmother, but also for her husband and young daughter who died just months before.  A precious gift has been passed down to Jessica, the bible that had once been in the hands of her great-grandfather.  As this tale moves on you will discover how the words of this Bible and the notes left by her great-grandfather will touch and change Jessica's life!

Because Jessica has been working from home with an internet business, she has been able to avoid unwanted questions and comments from friends and acquaintances in town.  Unfortunately, Jessica is unable to avoid the man who has showed up next door.   Ridley Chesterfield has moved into his parents vacation home for the summer, to avoid the gossip and lies of a political scandal that is unfortunately attached to his name!

As you watch Jessica and Ridley form an unlikely friendship, you will also see them both learn to forgive the past hurts in their lives and to build trust on something new.  This is a great tale to follow to see how God truly brings beauty from ashes!

Searching For You

Searching For You is the latest tale from Jody Hedlund.  Sophie Neumann is still living, by her wits, on the mean streets of New York City.  After Sophie gets too close to a local gang, she decides she must flee the city when she actually witnesses a murder.  Before she knows it, Sophie, along with Olivia and Nicholas, the two young children, she has raised since birth, are on a train full of orphans headed out west to find a new place to call home!

Sophie and these young children wind up in a farming community in rural Illinois.  After the young children are placed with a local family, Sophie ends up heading out with the wife of a dairy farmer.  Sophie, not only finds a home filled with love and friendship, she also runs into Reinhold Weiss, an old friend from the streets of New York City.  Reinhold has recently purchased a small farm in the vicinity of Sophie's new home.  Sophie is now surrounded by friends old and new; however, she is still running from her two older sisters, Elsie and Maryanne.  Sophie is too embarrassed for them to see what has became of her life!

When Sophie learns that the children are being abused, she convinces Reinhold to marry her, so that they could attempt to adopt the children themselves.  You will see on the final pages of this tale where Sophie will finally land.  Will it be with this new family or will Sophie finally be reunited with her sisters?

This is a great ending to Jody Hedlund's Orphan Train series.
